This episode is a little different—more sacred, more personal.
As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we recently witnessed a beautiful moment: the sustaining of a new First Presidency—President Dallin H. Oaks, President Henry B. Eyring, and President D. Todd Christofferson.
When I heard that announcement, my heart immediately went back ten years—to a night in Philadelphia that I will never forget.
That evening, Elder D. Todd Christofferson came to speak to the saints in our area. I was asked to give the closing prayer. And, as the meeting ended, I was invited to be the first person to shake his hand.
It was a sacred moment—one that left an imprint on my soul.
That night, when I got home, I sat down and recorded my thoughts. Just me, my voice, and the Spirit I was still feeling.
